A native of Birmingham, Pattie Harris has worked for Cumberland School of Law since 1991. Harris is the director of the Office of Law Student Records. Among her many responsibilities, Harris monitors the progress of student hours and requirements toward graduation, completes class rankings, helps students with their individual class schedules while overseeing registration each term.  

She began her career at Cumberland School of Law as an office assistant in the Office of Law Admission.  She advanced to admissions counselor and then assistant director of admissions and data manager, where she was responsible for the law school statistical data both for the school’s use and for various reporting agencies.

Prior to coming to the law school, Harris worked for her father in the family business, Precision Color, one of the first computerized pre-press color separators in Alabama. The original family business, Coker Printing, began in the family basement and grew to be one of the major players in advanced technology in this field.

Harris earned her bachelor’s degree from Samford University graduating summa cum laude (top 2% of the class).  She also completed the paralegal certificate program.

Harris and her husband, George, are members of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic church in Homewood. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
