What do you think is the best thing about Cumberland?
When I visited Cumberland, I was amazed at the competitive, but friendly atmosphere. The students and faculty here constantly push me to do my best. Additionally, we have wonderful faculty members. Professors have gone out of their way to meet with me and help explain course material in a simple, easily understandable way.
Why did you choose Cumberland?
I chose Cumberland because I wanted something different. I attended a huge metropolitan undergraduate university (IUPUI) and was looking for something different. I wanted to feel like a person instead of a student ID number. As soon as I toured Cumberland, I knew this was the place for me.
What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?
Although my real reason for moving to Birmingham was to attend law school, the city has grown on me, and I plan to stay here after graduation. I like attending fitness classes at Railroad Park, going to the farmer's market on Saturday morning and finding unique restaurants with friends.

If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?
Do what works for you. Everyone has a different learning style and just because someone else is making an outline or flash cards, doesn’t mean you must do the same. Find what works for you and stick with it!
