Colin M. Coyne
Serving on the President’s Cabinet, University Cabinet (chair), and multiple university committees, Colin facilitates the creation of strategy at the university, academic and administrative unit levels; conveys Samford’s strategy to all stakeholders; drives immediate results in support of the long-term strategy; and, stewards an environment of candid, creative and transparent decision-making to engender sustained evolution of the University. With work spanning 19 countries, 29 years and multiple sectors, Colin has extensive experience at the executive level in corporate strategy, finance, marketing, capital formation, sustainability and turnarounds. Colin is a member of the Samford University faculty and has previously served on the faculties of the Kellogg School of Management, Lipscomb University, Birmingham-Southern College, and Auburn University’s Economic & Community Development Institute. A frequent national and regional speaker, Colin is a published author of numerous articles; a contributing author to the McGraw Hill book, “The Green Building Bottom Line”, and, is regularly quoted in local and national publications, on radio and television.
