For her sophomore year, Jillian is a part of the Samford College Democrats as the Communications Director, as well as participating in Samford Together, The American Association for University Women's (AAUW) planning council for the ALA-WSL 2018 Conference, and continuing to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and write for Christenberry Planetarium. This past year, she was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta and placed on the Dean's List, was involved in Freshman Forum, and canvassed with and worked on the Executive Board of Samford College Democrats. This summer Jillian is interning at her local botanical gardens, studying New Testament Greek and Egyptian Hieroglyphics, and continuing to write for Margins Magazine and work on her chapbook. After graduation, she hopes to attend graduate school to pursue her goals related to psychology, activism, writing, and botany.
