Hometown: Newnan, GeorgiaIn high school, Joshua served as a member of the student council, and vice president of the National Honor Society. Serving also as the secretary of the Beta Club, he assisted in the planning and administration of a number of community service projects, including a yearly Veterans' Day commemorative dinner for local veterans and their families. A National AP Scholar, Joshua received several departmental awards in science, math, and foreign language from his school. In his junior and senior years, he received the STAR Student award, given for achieving the highest PSAT/SAT score of his graduating class. Joshua also participated in the drum line, along with the jazz, concert, and pep bands, earning the Best Instrumental Performance award in his sophomore year. During his time at Samford, he has made the fall semester Dean’s list, and has been inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta freshman honor society. He is a member of the International Club, and plans to broaden his involvement with this and other on-campus organizations in the upcoming semesters. Though he has no specific post-graduation plans yet, he hopes to go to graduate school to further his education in the math and computer science field.
