At an event titled, Tech "Bytes" at Trace Crossings, Samford teacher education candidates shared treats and technology insight with teachers at Trace Crossings Elementary School. Candidates spend significant amounts of time in Trace Crossings classrooms teaching lessons and assisting children as part of a K-12 school-university partnership with their teacher education preparation. For this event, candidates were given a list of soon-to-be-released Nooks apps designed for teachers. Candidates explored the apps and created "how to" handouts for the teachers at Trace Crossings as a quick start-up reference as well as an explanation of the instructional implications of the app. Teachers visited candidate tables and displays to hear presentations, ask questions and have a quick "byte."
