Samford University’s School of Education recently hosted a technology conference for educators from area schools and Samford education students.

At the We AR (Augmented Reality) Makers conference participants attended sessions focusing on making and designing using different technologies, while enhancing knowledge in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

“All the resources that were presented are easy to use,” said Autumn Combs, participant and education student. “I came away with many ideas that will not only be beneficial to me, but to my future students.”

The We AR Makers conference developed from the Maker Movement, which is a culture representing technology-based extensions of do-it-yourself projects. Most projects are engineering-oriented using electronics, robotics, 3-D printing, metalworking and art and crafts.
