  • Served more than 40 years on the staff at Alabama A&M University, retiring in 2015
  • Manager of WJAB-FM 90.9 radio at Alabama A&M, leading the NPR-affiliate station to become a jazz and blues icon in the Tennessee Valley
  • Director of Alabama A&M’s Telecommunications and Distance Learning Center
  • Holder of a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Alabama A&M
  • Died March 10, 2017
