Samford University Musical Theatre Ensemble will present "A…My Name Will Always be Alice," Feb. 5-8 in Bolding Studio.

The critically acclaimed, hit musical revue---conceived by Joan Micklin Silver and Julianne Boyd---explores the lives of contemporary women as they face the challenges of life and love. The music ranges from gospel and country/western to rock and glorious pop ballads. The show's content is for mature audiences, PG-13.

Emily Hoppe, a Samford senior theatre major from Huntsville, is director. Samford music professor Dr. Randall Richardson is music director.

The all-female cast includes Adrienne Brown, Justine Davis, Kathryn Francisco, Casi Harris, Lydia Myers, Katy Ostrowski, Chelsea Reynolds, Hannah Seymour, Erica Smith, Alexandra Tate, Jenny Wiggins and Lisa Jane Wright. Cathy Thompson is keyboard accompanist.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 5-7 and at 2;30 p.m. on Feb. 8.

Admission is $12 adult, $9 senior adult (55-plus) and $6 student/child. In honor of the season of romance, the directors have fashioned a Valentine's Special: any male who attends accompanied by a female will be admitted free of charge.
