Popular storyteller and best-selling author Andy Andrews will entertain and enlighten at Samford University Legacy League's annual scholarship gala dinner Thursday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Vestavia Country Club.

Andrews, who has been called a "modern-day Will Rogers," has regaled and inspired audiences for years with his humor and insight into living.  He is the author of 11 books, including The Traveler's Gift, The Butterfly Effect, and The Noticer.

He will also be the special guest at a private reception at 6:30 p.m., preceding the dinner.

The gala dinner is $75 per person ($37.50 is tax deductible). The reception and dinner are $125 per person ($72.50 is tax-deductible).

Proceeds from the scholarship gala will benefit the Legacy Scholarship.  The new endowment will provide funds for deserving students with financial need to attend Samford.
