The Michael J. and Mary Anne Freeman Theatre and Dance Series at Samford University will present its annual dance concert March 29 and 31 and April 1. The school offers 7:30 p.m. performances in Harrison Theatre March 29 and 31, and 2:30 p.m. performances March 31 and April 1.
This year's production, "Momentum," features new choreography, dance styles ranging from hip hop to musical theater and ballet, and the talents of Samford's growing dance community.
A new piece by faculty member Lisa Gibbs will include a composition by faculty member Sarana Chou and accompaniment by graduate student John Robertson.
The program also will include a suite of student-created songs and dances inspired by the 1990s.
