The Samford Bulldogs women's basketball team defeated Appalachian State Monday (March 5) 54-43 to claim their second straight Southern Conference championship. Full game reports will be posted shortly at www.samford.edu.

The Bulldogs will represent the SoCon in the NCAA tournament.
