Samford University Athletics Director, Martin Newton, was the featured guest at Thursday's convocation.  Athletics was the theme, as the marching band played, the cheerleaders cheered, and Spike the Bulldog took off his costume!  

Students erupted as the man behind Spike was indeed Samford President, Andrew Westmoreland.
