Newman, Hunsicker Named Samford Homecoming Queen, King

Homecoming 2014 King and Queen

Hannah Newman and John Hunsicker were named 2014 Homecoming queen and king at Samford University Friday, Oct. 31.

Chosen by vote of the student body, the honorees were announced at a pep rally. They will be introduced at various other events during homecoming celebrations on Saturday.

Newman, a senior human development and family sciences major from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is the daughter of Laurie and Phil Newman.

Hunsicker, a senior biology major from St. Louis, Missouri, is the son of Lindsey and Steve Hunsicker.

The 2014 Homecoming court also includes freshmen Mary Helen Douglas and James William Miley III, sophomores Mackenzie Brooke Davis and Dillard Goodpasture Adams III, juniors Mary Leslie Prater and Corry Mulligan, and seniors Christine Paige Carrier, Emily Kelley, Clay Hubbard and Will Yarborough.
