Planetarium to Present 10 Star of Bethlehem Shows in December
Samford University’s Christenberry Planetarium will present 10 Star of Bethlehem shows in December. The shows, starting Dec. 3 and concluding Dec. 20, will be offered at a variety of times during the day and evening, and on weekdays and weekends, to accommodate busy holiday schedules and to serve school and church groups.
Samford's 2015 Star of Bethlehem program will explore the star from astronomical, biblical and historical perspectives, and offer a prayerful mediation in preparation for Christmas.
This year, all Star of Bethlehem shows require purchase of an $8 ticket. Tickets may be purchased at tickets.samford.edu, at Samford’s Harrison Theatre Box Office (open 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Mon.–Fri.) or by phone at 205-726-2853.
Christenberry Planetarium also offers the chance to win an hour long Oculus Rift virtual reality space experience for your family. For contest details, planetarium updates and astronomy news, follow Christenberry Planetarium at Samford University on Facebook.
