Samford University will host a variety of summer camps this year. Organized and led by Samford faculty, staff and students, the camps offer fun, educational activities for children and teenagers. Visit this website to register and learn more about other upcoming opportunities.

Summer Cooking Camp for Teens

June 6-10, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Ages 11-16

Samford University's Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, along with registered dietitian nutritionists Sonthe Burge and Clara Darling, are excited to offer a week of cooking classes designed specifically for teens. Participants will learn how to build delicious and nutritious plates for meals and snacks with the goal of developing a positive relationship with food and cooking. 

Minority Youth Science Academy

June 13-15
Grades 10–12

This program offers college preparation and mentoring for outstanding minority students with interest in science. 

Adventures in Music Piano Camp

Session 1: June 13-17
Session 2: July 11-15
Grades 1–12

Students will enhance their solo and ensemble performance, and gain a greater understanding of music history and theory knowledge. Learn More

Intellectually ambitious students engage ideas that form the essence of the Western intellectual tradition with faculty members and other exceptional high school students. 

Art Studio for Teens

Students use various art media for creative projects with experienced artists.

Bulldog Pharmacy Camp

June 27-30, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Grades: Rising juniors and seniors, incoming college freshmen

Samford's McWhorter School of Pharmacy invites rising high school juniors and seniors and incoming college freshmen to its Bulldog Pharmacy Camp this summer to learn about careers in pharmacy. Campers will participate in hands-on pharmacy science lab demonstrations, unique service projects, gain essential patient assessment skills, tour local health care facilities and pharmacies and experience Samford's campus life. 

SAM Lab

June 24, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Grades 6-8

Samford's McWhorter School of Pharmacy invites rising sixth, seventh and eighth graders to SAM Lab, a one-day summer experience designed to introduce students to the dynamic profession of pharmacy through hands-on lab demonstrations.

There is no cost to attend, but space is limited. Lunch, snacks and a t-shirt will be provided. 

Bulldog Art Camp

Session 1: June 27-July 1
Session 2: July 18-22
Grades 1-5

With the help of experienced art instructors, students will see, touch, hear and feel the vocabulary of art by incorporating color, line, shape, texture, space, value, form, balance and rhythm. Learn More

Pirate Clinic

July 11-14
Grades 1- 8

Pirate Clinic is a specialty clinic for children rising first grade through rising eighth grade who are having difficulty with the "R" sound. Sessions will be one hour each day. Graduate students will conduct the intervention sessions, supervised by faculty of the Samford University Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. Speech Sound Disorders Clinic

July 18-22
Ages 3 and older

Speech Sound Disorders Clinic is a specialty clinic for children three years and older with articulation disorders. Sessions will be one hour each day. Graduate students will conduct the assessment and intervention sessions, supervised by faculty of the Samford University Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
