Stephen Black of Impact Alabama wrote to me a few days ago with this information:

"During the first six weeks of tax season, 15 students from the Cumberland School of Law worked alongside other students from nearby colleges at free tax preparation sites across the Birmingham area to prepare over 1,000 tax returns for working families – helping them to secure $1.8 million in tax refunds and saving them $280,000 in commercial tax preparation fees.  This is an increase of almost 25% over the efforts of Birmingham area students
last year."

The world is better because of the civic responsibility of the Cumberland School of Law.
