On a morning in which we are reminded of America's search for peace and fairness, my attention is drawn to the plaque at the center of the main entrance to the Samford campus, with these words:  "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind; and love your neighbor as yourself."

The world is better because Christ called us to a different path.
