Information is posted on the homepage. One vignette stands out in my mind from the reports we’ve received. At the end of a very busy day last week, Patrick Hatcher, Director of Operations and Facilities for Samford athletics, was working with others to close the site. A young man from Dominica who had helped all day was providing assistance. Athletics Director Martin Newton offered the explanation of what happened at that point in the story:

Patrick asked what size he wore and he said size 13. Patrick knew we didn't have anything that big so he took his size 12s off and gave them to him. What did not get caught on camera but was witnessed by a few of us was the young man crying as we all parted for the day.

The world is better because of the Christ-centered compassion of Samford people. We don’t get it right all the time, but we never cease to try.
