A native of Mississippi, Whitney White moved to Alabama to pursue her pharmacy education at McWhorter School of Pharmacy followed by residency training at Huntsville Hospital. She was a Samford faculty member from 2009-2018, and now returns to the faculty following several years within the Veterans Affairs Health System, practicing in both primary care and acute medicine. The focus of her most recent research endeavors is women's health and rheumatology. White is also very passionate about mentorship and connecting others to their God-given purpose, demonstrated in one of her favorite scriptures, Ephesians 2:10: "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading and working in her yard.
