During her time in high school, Jane was the founder of a program called Share Your Style, an organization that collected nice, used outfits to help foster kids who left their homes in emergency situations with only the clothes on their backs. In addition, Jane was the Co-Coordinator and Fundraising Chair for her local school’s branch of The Movement Club, a high school mentor for underclassmen, and a volunteer in the country of Guatemala for her freshmen year. At Samford, in addition to being a Micah Fellow, Jane is a Samford Presidential Scholar, has been named to the Dean’s list, and was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society. Jane is an active member of the campus ministry Reign and attends Arise Birmingham. She enjoys the sisterhood of her sorority Chi Omega and is excited to spend her summer of 2017 as a counselor at Camp Ozark. Jane is a Spanish major with a Social Entrepreneurship and Non Profit Management minor and is looking forward to using the skills she learns from these in her local internship in the fall.
