Kaitlynn graduated as the salutatorian of her high school class and participated in numerous activities, including National Honor Society, Beta Club, student body and class governments, choir, and varsity soccer. During her senior year, Kaitlynn volunteered at the Tennessee Aquarium and created a conservation project to help take care of and raise awareness for an imperiled fish species only found in Tennessee. At her home church, Kaitlynn has also been involved in the children’s ministry and participated in a mission trip to Costa Rica. During her time at Samford, Kaitlynn has become a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, the International Justice Mission, and has made the Dean’s List. In this coming year, Kaitlynn plans on working closely with the Greater Birmingham Humane Society in order to educate the public on humane practices as well as finding good homes for the animals in the shelter. She also plans to continue her studies in biology and marine science to help create a healthier world.
