Degrees and Programs
In the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, we offer two undergraduate degrees that prepare graduates for a range of opportunities, either in graduate school or in the pursuit of each graduate’s calling.
We also offer an online Master of Science in Nutrition and a post-baccalaureate Dietetic Internship certificate program. Students have the option of combining the Dietetic Internship certificate with the Master of Science in Nutrition.
Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition
Food and nutrition majors combine the basic knowledge of culinary skills and personal nutrition and apply this knowledge to a variety of other areas.
Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
Samford's nutrition and dietetic program has been preparing students to become competent, entry-level dietitians/nutritionists (RDN) for more than 80 years.
Master of Science in Nutrition
Samford's online Master of Science in nutrition program provides advanced training in nutrition and prepares students and dietitians for positions in health care, community, education, research and leadership in nutrition programs.
Samford's dietetic internship is a post-baccalaureate program which fulfills the requirements to become eligible to take the national Registration Examination for Dietitians offered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR).
