Preparing Pastors Who Can Preach

Why Beeson?
Baptists represent about 50% of our student body and alumni. Baptist students are attracted to Beeson Divinity School because they will:

- Take church history and doctrine courses from Baptist faculty members Dr. Timothy George and Dr. Mark DeVine.
- Study missions from former IMB missionary Dr. David Parks, director of Beeson’s Global Center.
- Gain experience in cross-cultural ministry, which is required for every M.Div. student.
- Be mentored by other Baptist faculty members: Dr. Stefana Dan Laing and Dr. Tom Fuller.
- Apply what they learn in the classroom by interning at one of Birmingham’s many Baptist churches.
