Be shaped for ministry in a Christian, covenanted community.
Beeson Divinity School is an evangelical, interdenominational divinity school on Samford’s campus in Birmingham, Alabama.
Our mission is to prepare God-called persons to serve as ministers in the church of Jesus Christ. We accomplish our mission by providing face-to-face, classical graduate theological education, worshiping the Triune God and encouraging the practices of Christian spirituality in covenanted community.
Beeson's community means learning from faculty in and out of the classroom, as they pray for you and mentor you, worshiping with your fellow students and building lifelong friendships with your brothers and sisters as you prepare for ministry together
Thanks to a generous donation, Beeson is offering full-tuition scholarships to top MDiv applicants. Priority will be given to students who complete the scholarship essay with their application.

Beeson also offers a concentration in apologetics for MDiv and MATS students.
“Beeson pushes students to take what they're taught in the classroom and apply it in the church. Beeson's weekly worship has shaped some aspects of how I lead music in the church."
- Salvador Blanco-Perello, MDiv '25
“I wanted to go somewhere where I could get this classic, Protestant, evangelical education, and that’s what I got. The community did its work on me."
- Joel Busby, '04, MDiv '11, DMin '18
“At Beeson, I’ve learned to be a person of faith. I’ve been learning to trust the Lord in a lot of hardship. I’m so much better for that."
- Ashton Holt, MDiv '25
“Beeson is blessed by faculty of immense biblical scholarship who shepherd students personally and professionally."
- Nancy Hartin, MATS' 25
“Beeson’s commitment to in-person theological education has been transformative in my life. I wouldn’t do it any other way. I’ve been so grateful to have deep relationships with fellow classmates, friendships I didn’t know I needed before my time at Beeson."
- Cole Shiflet, MDiv' 25
The priority scholarship deadline for spring 2027 admission is September 2.
