Engaged students. Engaged learning. What does it all mean?

Samford President, Beck A. Taylor

Samford has hundreds of academic and co-curricular programs. They range from majors like psychology and nutrition, to student government and the International Club, to debate and cross-country competition. Programs can be as personal as one-on-one career advising and spiritual discipleship, and as community-oriented as Step Sing and the Samford Gives Back day of service. Every Samford student can find dozens of ways to connect to Samford—to their peers and mentors, and to their future goals and dreams. That’s great news.

Even better is that Samford’s students take advantage of these enriching opportunities to grow in their intellect, creativity, faith and personhood—and they do it better than any other university students in the country! Not only that, graduates also tell us that their engagement at Samford prepared them extremely well for life after college.

We celebrate our students’ desire to take advantage of all that Samford has to offer, as well as the faculty, staff, alumni and friends that make Samford a great place for our students. In more ways than can be counted, 2021 was a remarkable year for Samford. Thank you for your prayers and support.

For God. For Learning. Forever.
