Getting to Samford
Located just off of I-65 and a short drive from US-280, Samford is perfectly nestled in a location with 20-minute access to all other parts of Birmingham, including the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. It is incredibly easy for all of Samford’s visitors to get to our campus; directions are below.
From I-459 / US-280
To reach Samford's Office of Admission from I-459, take Exit 19 for US-280 W. Continue for 3 miles, then take AL-149 N/Lakeshore Dr/Shades Creek Pkwy exit. Continue west for just over 3/4 mile and turn right onto Sherman Circle. Park in front of Ingalls Hall, the Office of Admission Building.
From Highway 31
To reach Samford's Office of Admission from Highway 31 (Montgomery Highway), take AL-149 N/Lakeshore Dr/Shades Creek Pkwy exit. Continue west for just over 3/4 mile and turn right onto Sherman Circle. Park in front of Ingalls Hall, the Office of Admission Building.
Getting To Samford
Samford is situated on a beautiful hill with stunning buildings and views that our students love to rave about. Our campus is small enough to be incredibly accessible on foot, and big enough to feel like a large school. When you get here for your visit, there is parking waiting for you at the Office of Admission directly behind the Main Gate. If you have enough time before your tour, visit the University Center to grab a bite to eat, a coffee, or Samford merch.
