Perfect for the Lenten season, our March 5 on-campus afternoon meeting will feature a worshipful music program by School of the Arts faculty and staff members. In a “full circle moment,” the program will be led by former Samford Auxiliary (now Legacy League) scholarship recipient Dr. Joel Davis ’05, who now serves as the Division of Music chair. The talented members of the division, which includes eight departments, are known across the U.S. for their musical performance and teaching abilities. A composer, arranger, instrumentalist and conductor, Joel has performed with many artists including David Phelps and Yolanda Adams. He received Samford’s John H. Buchanan Awrd for Excellence in Classroom Teaching in 2019.
