A native of Chicago, Illinois, Anne Marovich graduated from University of Illinois, then Chicago-Kent College of Law. She practiced personal injury and administrative law in Chicago for six years before moving from Illinois. After moving to Alabama in 2002, she practiced law long distance for a Chicago firm for two years prior to joining Samford University. She initially joined Cumberland School of Law in 2007 as the associate director of the Office of Career Development. In 2010, she became the director of the Office of Alumni Relations, and in 2022, she was named as the law school's senior advancement officer.
Marovich is responsible for major gift fundraising for the law school. Priorities include law scholarships, academic programs and the dean’s initiatives. Building long lasting relationships and stewarding donors is important and very rewarding to Anne. Cumberland alumni fuel the success of the law school, impacting the next generation of lawyers every semester.
