Transportation Services coordinates parking enforcement, permitting and shuttle services for Samford University.
This Fall 2019 shuttle (Sam Tram) routes will consist of the Blue Line, Gray Line and Red Line. Shuttles will run on the main campus from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. We will run continuous loops in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. The Express route will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday-Friday. This route is the quick way from West Campus to the College of Health Sciences and back. Nine shuttle stops are conveniently located across campus. See shuttle route maps for details.
The Ride Systems app may be downloaded in the Playstore or on iTunes to track shuttle locations. The Sam Tram will began operation August 26, 2019.
In addition to running three shuttles from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday on fixed routes, the Blue Line makes a trip to Target every Friday evening. The Blue Line may be boarded at 4:30 p.m. at the stop located near the University Center. Target is located at Brookwood Village in Homewood and 1.2 miles from campus. Riders can expect to return to campus around 5:30 p.m. every Friday.
Shuttle drivers are now part time Samford employees.
Temporary and Visitor Permits
Temporary parking permits, for periods of less than seven days and visitor parking permits are available at Transportation Services in Facilities Management room 207.
Visitors to campus may receive a daily parking permit from Transportation Services, located in Facilities Management room 207.
