In an attempt to offer an alternative to additional borrowing, Samford University provides interest-free payment plan options for all students enrolled in fall and/or spring semesters. Below is a brief description of the options available for the 2021-2022 academic year. If you participated in past years, please know plan details may have changed and may operate differently.

Plans are available for fall and spring terms only. There are no payment plans available for May Term or Summer Terms. Choosing to not enroll in the fall 2021 payment plan will make your fall 2021 balance due in full on September 7, 2021.  The same is true for those who do not enroll in a spring 2022 payment plan.  Your spring 2022 payment will be due in full on January 18, 2022.

If you have questions regarding payment plans or anything else related to student accounts, financial aid, veterans benefits, and student IDs, please contact the Samford One Stop at OneStop@samford.edu or 205-726-2905.

  • Failure to adequately complete a prior term payment plan will prevent a student from enrolling in subsequent plans.
  • Student must not have any outstanding or past due balances from any prior terms.

You may still utilize 529 funds to pay all or part of your balance by requesting a check with your student name and ID number to be mailed to Samford, but if you wish to enroll in a payment plan, you must enroll online and will be required to pay 20%-25% of your balance, depending on which plan you select, plus the $75 enrollment fee at the time of enrollment. Any 529 payments received before you enroll in the plan will pay down your overall balance, resulting in lower installments. Any 529 payments received after you enroll in a plan will pay down the next installment due. Online payment options include e-check (ACH) or credit card (a 2.85% service fee is charged for credit cards).
