The Office of Diversity and Intercultural Initiatives aims to enhance cross-cultural opportunities for engagement through fellowship, programs, and services.

Ragland Scholars

In honor of Elizabeth Sloan Ragland, the first woman to integrate campus housing at Samford, the Ragland Scholars program will cultivate academic and social support for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) entering Samford. Members of the four-year cohort will be awarded a competitive scholarship, experiential learning opportunities and peer-to-peer mentoring.

Davis Library - Social Justice Collection

Expand the library’s interdisciplinary collection of full-text eBooks; spanning topics related to social and environmental justice, antiracism, diversity, inclusion, and social welfare. Forever Samford Scholarships

More than ever, need and merit-based scholarships remain vital for ensuring that a top-tier Christ-centered education is accessible to everyone. Generous scholarships enable us to open our doors to student leaders whose talents and achievements will have a wide influence.

Samford Parents Scholarship

Samford families harness their love for each through grassroots efforts to support students who are close to earning a degree but are facing withdrawal from Samford due to a family financial crisis.

Legacy League Scholarships

Legacy League scholarships help make it possible for students with significant financial need to experience the unique benefits of a Samford University education. Our scholarship recipients have faced monumental challenges, including homelessness, foster care, inner-city violence, the disability or death of a parent, having severely disabled siblings, single-parent families and the sacrifices of full-time ministry. While receiving transformational scholarship funds, our students also enjoy uplifting cards, home-cooked meals, exam treats and more through the dedicated ministry of Legacy League volunteers.
