Private Instruction in Voice is available to students from age 11 through adults at all levels.
Students are able to focus on their specific aspects of vocal technique, repertoire, and performance.

Group Voice Class for adults is offered with 5 students enrolled. This is a great opportunity to learn vocal basics including correct posture, breathing, resonance, and performance strategies.
Academy vocal students have won on the state and regional auditions for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). They also represent our program at many universities and colleges throughout the southeast as vocal performance, music education, musical theatre, and theatre majors.

Students have also participated in the local Alabama Federation of Music Clubs auditions receiving superior ratings. Many of our vocal students have participated in local musicals and operas sponsored by institutions including Samford University, Red Mountain Theatre, and high schools.

Frequent recitals afford students an opportunity to perform on a regular basis. Students may perform in as many recitals as the instructor feels they are prepared for.

Performance Practices are informal performances/mini master classes where students come on a day prior to the recital to perform for an Academy Music Instructor and other students performing that day.  This is a fantastic way for private teachers, students, and parents to be able to make some last minute corrections before the "big" performance at the recital.
