Introduction to Precious Metal Clay ($75):  Sunday, 1-5 p.m., May 4th. Craft gorgeous silver jewelry of your own design from fine silver precious metal clay (PMC), a medium consisting of tiny particles of silver mixed with an organic binder and water. PMC can be shaped like any soft clay and can be fired in a variety of ways. The binder burns away, leaving the pure silver metal clay. Learn the basics of working with PMC, including forming, surface texturing, firing and finishing techniques. Complete a pendant with bail or a pair of earrings just in time for the holidays. The class fee includes use of all studio tools needed as well as 6.3 grams of silver PMC.

Adobe Photoshop Workshop ($75):  Tuesdays, 6-8 p.m., May 13th and 20th. Adobe Photoshop has become one of the most important software applications of our time. This workshop is designed to acquaint the beginner with the basics of Photoshop. Students will learn to improve their photographic results by refining colors and tones, adjusting brightness and contrast, eliminating unwanted objects, cropping and sharpening, and making other corrections necessary to achieve fine-art results. All major Adobe Photoshop tools, menu items, and palettes will be explored. Creative use of filters, layers, and transformations will also be introduced. Join us for this creative, fun and exciting workshop!

Editing Your DSLR Videos for Beginners ($75):  Saturday, 1-5 p.m., April 26th. Get started video editing with this workshop. Learn how to import video, music and still photograph files, cut, splice and combine clips, add soundtracks, and export videos using Microsoft Windows Movie Maker and Photoshop Premier Elements software.

Fireworks Photography ($45):  Saturday, 1-3 p.m., March 29th. Fireworks are beautiful displays that appear in an instance. For photographers that instance can be captured, but that vision for the photo must be instinctive and informed with technique. This workshop will instruct how to set up for fireworks along with strategies for the fireworks show.

Making Money with Photography ($75):  Saturday, 1-5 p.m., May 3rd. This workshop is an in-depth look at ways to earn money using your photographic skills. We will look at some obvious (and some not so obvious) ways to make money with photography. This workshop will offer opportunities for Q & A as we discuss the positives and negatives of various money-making ventures and examine the types of equipment needed as well as setting rates and prices for your photographic work.

Wedding Photography Workshop ($75):  Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., April 12th. Sooner or later, every photographer is asked to photograph a wedding. This workshop is designed to provide an introduction to wedding photography from the announcement candid and the bridal portrait to the actual wedding day shoot and delivery of the album. Topics covered include equipment, lighting, wedding photography styles, indoor and outdoor settings, business and contracts, and marketing and sales.

Fiction Writing Refresher ($75):  Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., April 26th. You once loved writing. You may have even studied it for a season. But now you're feeling uninspired and stretched for time. You want to invoke the muse, but you think she has forgotten your name and your address. This class will inspire you to pick up the pen or keyboard, shake off that rust, and write like you never stopped.
