Approximately 40 students are selected by audition once a year to represent Samford University Preparatory Music in the Birmingham community. Students are given the opportunity to perform for civic, church, and campus gatherings.

Scholarship Students

Around half of the students in the Honors Ensemble are awarded scholarships as determined by the judges at the auditions. The judges select the top performers, according to outstanding ability and achievement, to receive money to help pay for private lesson tuition through Samford University Preparatory Music.

Auditions for the Honors Ensemble and Scholarship Winners are held annually.
