Campus Dining's disposable wares are 100% biodegradable.
Campus Dining donates excess food inventory to churches and missions at the end of each semester and at the close of campus food services.
Campus Dining invests in our community and the future of our food supply. Locally, we purchase:
- Produce (in season)
- Pork
- Milk
- Beef
- Poultry
- Fair Trade coffee
Campus Dining purchases the following made from recycled paper:
- Napkins
- Bathroom Tissue
- Hand Towels
Campus Dining's committed effort in recycling:
- Uses 0-transfat cooking oil in all locations
- Used oil is recycled
- Recycles cardboard
- Recycles tin cans

Campus dining has just converted their cleaning/sanitation program over to a sustainable program to address the environmental footprint. We do this through lower energy consumption, conservation of water, and reduction of waste while enhancing student and employee safety. Ecolab, as Samford University's partner in sustainability, enforces these standards through three core principles.
