The English Language Learner Institute

Welcome to the The English Language Learner Institute (ELLI) at Samford University!  The ELLI offers a concentrated English language curriculum designed to help non-native English speakers develop the English skills needed to achieve their academic goals in an American university.

-Cultural activities.  Our program offers weekly cultural activities and trips around the South to give students an introduction into American culture and to help them transition to the US.

-Friendship Partners.  The ELLI offers American Friendship Partners to all students in our program.  Having an American Friendship Partner is a great way to be involved in the daily lives of Americans.
