William Lane Craig to Speak at Samford Sept. 12

Apologetical scholar Dr.William Lane Craig will speak at Samford University Tuesday, Sept. 12, as part of this year's Samford Speak Series. The public is invited to the 10 a.m. lecture in Reid Chapel.

Hailed as a leading apologetical scholar, he is currently research professor at Talbot School of Theology, La Mirada, Calif.

Dr. Craig holds a Ph.S. in philosophy from the University of Birmingham, England, and another doctorate in theology from the University of Munich, where, as a Fellow of the Alexander von Humbolt Foundation, he researched the historicity of Jesus' resurrection.

He has engaged in widely acclaimed debates with atheistic and agnostic scholars on the existence of God, the resurrection of Jesus, morality and hell.

He is the author of Reasonable Faith and Assessing the New Testament Evidence for the Historicity of the Resurrection of Jesus.
