Undergraduate Program
Traditional 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing Prospective undergraduate students who desire to enter the traditional 4-year BSN program at the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing must apply to Samford University first. Upon acceptance to the University, Samford’s Office of Admission will mail a nursing application to you, which you must complete and submit to the School of Nursing. Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis. A student who received a D or F in a nursing course from another institution will not be considered for admission to the School of Nursing. Freshmen applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Also required is a minimum composite ACT score of 21 or a minimum composite SAT score of 1000, no more than 5 years old. Accelerated Second Degree BSN (15-Month) is an accelerated opportunity for individuals who already hold a baccalaureate degree in a field of study other than nursing. Upon graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, the student is eligible to write the licensing examination for registered nurses [NCLEX-RN]. A student who received a D or F in a nursing course from another institution will not be considered for admission to the School of Nursing. Our Fall 2009 class is closed. Important Dates for 2010:

Applicants are considered on a competitive basis by the School of Nursing; thus, applicants’ admission profiles are evaluated according to stated admission criteria. Prospective undergraduate students who desire to enter the Accelerated Second Degree BSN (15-month) program must submit an application packet directly to the School of Nursing.
