Our Story

When Carol Dean and her friends sent out a request to Samford employees for books for Mt. Meru University in Arusha, Tanzania, they had no idea that our people would respond with such generosity.  A few days ago, Carol and crew packed the books for shipment . . . all 660 of them!  (Carol carried about 200 books with her when she taught at Mt. Meru last summer.)  If I wanted to create a pun for the occasion, I guess I would say that this story speaks volumes about the compassion of our people.  (Sorry for the lapse.)

The world is better because of Carol Dean and her generous friends.
