Biographical Information

Jeff Dance is a business consultant in Birmingham, Alabama with a focus in executive leadership and interim management services. He has more than 25 years executive experience with Fortune 500healthcare companies, non-profit hospitals, and physician practices.  His insights in leadership, quality and customer satisfaction, as well as strategic planning, and regulatory compliance allow his clients to use him with great versatility in problem solving within the service industry.  His clients recognize his attention to detail and hands-on, practical approach to his proven success.  More specifically, Jeff's expertise in identifying issues within the business has helped many of his clients improve their revenue cycle, customer satisfaction,management processes, and organizational structure. 

He also brings his real-world experience to the classroom as an adjunct faculty member at the Brock School of Business, Samford University in Birmingham. There he teaches Management, Leadership and Human Resource Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  His students consistently rank him at or above his faculty peers. He is also published in several peer-reviewed professional journals.

Jeff speaks regularly within industry as he shares and teaches his passion of leading professionals to "Facilitate Success -Not Stress"®. In these sessions he leads groups in the techniques of effective communication, conflict management, and professional development. His practical approach to breaking down operational obstacles that do not facilitate success comes from his vast prior experience and ability to coach and teach within the context of the issues at hand. His clients appreciate his creative,customized, and success-oriented methods.

Jeff holds an MBA from the Brock School of Business at Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama.  He graduated Mid-America Nazarene University, Olathe, Kansas with a Bachelors of Arts in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training.  He holds professional certifications as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association-Board of Certification; Licensed by the Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers; and Certified as a Medicare Deemed-Status Surveyor by the AAASF/Rehab Section.

A native of Asheville, NC, he makes his home in Birmingham with his wife and two daughters.  He currently serves in leadership roles in his church and various civic boards.  He enjoys teaching Sunday School, recreational sports, reading history and gourmet cooking.
