Clark Scholars

Scott Cope (Biology)

My major is biology and I am receiving a minor in bioinformatics. Over the past four years I have been involved both scholastically and athletically. I have been on the Men’s Cross-Country and Track team for the past four years and have had the honor of being captain of the Cross-Country Team the past two years. Also I have received many conference academic honors as well as receiving NCAA Academic All-American honors in Cross-Country. During my time at Samford, I have been a LEAD Presidential Scholar, a Clark Scholar in Bioinformatics, the treasurer for the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society, and a recent committee member for the Global Christian Fellowship. This fall, I will attend Emory University for a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in Epidemiology. I want to have a major impact on global health, whether it be in a laboratory or in the field, and am excited to see what the future holds for me.
