Mary Kathryn Jorgensen
As a Classics major, Mary Kathryn is a member of National Classics Honors Society, Eta Sigma Phi, and has received the Classics Leadership Award along with the Wheeler Award and the Henry Schliemann Award. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Alpha Theta Honors Society, in addition to receiving the Howard College Third Year Honors Award. In addition, she is the Assistant Academic Chair for her sorority, on the Philanthropy committer, and a member of Socratic Club. Last summer, Mary Kathryn interned at the Brooks Museum of Art in Memphis. This experience solidified her desire to work as a curator. To this end, she has volunteered at the Birmingham Museum of Art during the school year and Arts Memphis. This past summer, Mary Kathryn received one of two Alabama Power Research Fellowships to study the concept of proairesis in the Discourses of Epictetus.
