Biographical Information
A leader in and out of school, Katie was a member of the Student Advisory Board, National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, Thespian Honors Society, and Chorus. She lettered in Community Service and Academics in addition to being a recipient of the Lamp Of Knowledge Award and the Georgia Academic Certificate of Merit. She has also been a counselor at Camp Highland in the Ellijay Mountains. Passionate about service and missions, Katie has been on mission trips to Honduras and Ireland. She also led a mission team to Atlanta, GA from her home church. As a result of her travels to Honduras, Katie was inspired to found the non-profit organization, Dyed4Honduras, in which she designs, dyes and bleaches t-shirts, shoes, headbands, and anything else she can get her hands on to sell to benefit the missionaries she worked with in Honduras.
