At first glance, Writing and Rhetoric seems to have a fairly self-explanatory title. I enjoy English, so I expected to enjoy the class. However, I was surprised to discover that Writing and Rhetoric became one of my favorite courses not because of the writing itself, but because of the many discussions on the philosophy of literature and life in general that we had. It was an unusual day if my mind wasn't blown by a new concept by the end of the class discussion. In essence, Writing and Rhetoric taught me to think deeper, which is the basis of good writing.
