The Academic Success Center (ASC)
The Academic Success Center (ASC) is a resource center designed to facilitate the student’s successful transition through the university. The director works closely with faculty, the Admission office, Career Development, and the Counseling offices to provide academic assistance as needed.
First-year and transfer students and their parents are particularly encouraged to take advantage of the Center’s services.
- Resources for students include: Foundations (a First Year Experience course), assistance in declaring or changing majors, list of tutoring available on and off campus, and the Success Mentoring Program. (See Spring 2013 Tutoring Schedule.)
- Parents are encouraged to contact the Center with any questions regarding the student’s academic progress or advising.
