Grace Garnett holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy from Shorter University. In May of 2023, she graduated with honors with a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from Baylor University. Grace’s teaching career began in 2018 and she has experience teaching students of all ages from preschool to adult. In addition to private instruction, she also enjoys teaching in group lessons and the classroom setting.

Through her pedagogical studies, Grace discovered her heart and love for working with preschool students. She has a particular interest in all-inclusive teaching and has done significant research on working with students that have autism and dyslexia.

Grace has been a member of Music Teachers National Association since 2017 and had the opportunity to serve as president of the student chapters both at Shorter and Baylor. She is looking forward to making more connections through being a member of Birmingham Music Teachers Association. Grace is excited to be working among her fellow instructors at the Academy and is thrilled to be continuing her passion of enabling students to love and appreciate music.
