Business and Financial Affairs
Business and financial affairs handles the day-to-day operations without which the university could not function. Harry B. "Buck" Brock III is the executive vice president and vice president for business and financial affairs. Lisa Imbragulio is the associate vice president for business and financial affairs.
Accounting and Financial Services
This office includes accounting, accounts payable, credit card processing, and purchasing. Mike Darwin is the controller.
Oversight of the athletics department is the responsibility of business and financial affairs. Martin Newton is the athletics director.
This office provides services such as purchasing cards, vendor setups, and inventory control. Wade Walker is the director of business services.
This office is responsible for construction and renovation projects on campus. Jeff Poleshek is the director of capital planning and improvement.
Sodexo provides dining and catering services for the university campus. Michael Scheffres is the general manager.
Decision Support and Financial Strategy
This office is responsible for the budget and financial planning of the university. Matt DeFore is the director of budget and financial planning.
This office guides Samford employees, students and external groups through the proper channels for planning an event at Samford University. Allison Brymer is the director of event management.
University facilities are operated and maintained by the facilities management, under the direction of Mark Fuller.
Human resources brings together the processes necessary to provide for the professional care of over 900 employees, including benefits, jobs, payroll, and student employment. Joel Windham is the assistant vice president and director of human resources.
Operations and Planning
This office is comprised of facilities management, capital planning and improvement, public safety and emergency management, parking and transportation, sustainability and events management. Kim Brown is the associate vice president for operations and strategic initiatives.
Parking and Transportation Services
Parking and transportation services coordinates parking enforcement, permitting and shuttle services for Samford University.
Performance Venues (LSW)
Kenny Gannon is the director of the Leslie Stephen Wright Center.
The post office provides all U.S. mail services, including package shipment, money orders, expedited mail, notary service, and campus mail service.
Printing services is a full-service print shop, producing coil-bound books, posters and banners, specialty products, invitations, and letterhead, as well as routine print jobs. Lisa Dodd is the print shop supervisor.
Public Safety and Emergency Management
Public safety and emergency management enhances the quality of life at Samford by protecting the lives and property of the Samford University community.
Student Financial Services
Student financial services is responsible for managing and awarding all student financial assistance such as scholarships, grants, loans, and work study. They also charge all tuition and fees to student accounts, as well as perform billing and collection on student accounts and manage payment plans. Institutional and campus based loans are managed and serviced by this office. Lane M. Smith is the director of student financial services.
This office manages recycling as well as sustainability initiatives on campus. Amber Kustos is the coordinator of environmental and campus enhancement.
This office provides the classroom technology, wireless, administrative systems, email, and support services that enable a modern university like Samford to function. Doug Rigney is the chief information officer.
