Undergraduate Students Receive White Coats

Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing hosted its White Coat Ceremony on Monday, Oct. 3 in Samford’s Brock Recital Hall. Seventy-four Bachelor of Science in Nursing students who began clinical courses this semester were honored during the event.

Samford Provides Online Path to FNP Certification for Missionary to Haiti

As registered nurse Tony West considered how to better serve clinical patients in Galette Chambon, Haiti, this missionary determined he and his wife could lessen the suffering of their neighbors if he received further training as a family nurse practitioner.

Nursing School Receives Grant to Prepare Family Nurse Practitioners Committed to Practicing in Underserved Areas

Samford University’s Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing has received $350,000 to provide tuition assistance for family nurse practitioner students committed to serving patients in rural or underserved areas.
