
In May 2021, Lorraine Yant graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from Maranatha Baptist University. As a MBU collegiate member of MTNA, she taught private piano lessons and coached advanced piano ensembles for three and a half years at Maranatha’s Music Preparatory School. Lorraine was recently accepted as a graduate student at Samford University where she plans to complete her Masters in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. In February of 2021, she participated in Samford University’s annual Fletcher and Nell Morris Piano Competition winning second place. In addition to being a member of BMTA and MTNA, she also holds national certification through MTNA. Lorraine’s life-fulfilling passion of inspiring children’s lives through music remains the heartbeat of her teaching since opening her own private studio in 2014. In her free time, Lorraine enjoys swimming, hiking, solving puzzles, reading, and creating original recipes in the kitchen.
